The Welsh Branch of the British Geriatrics Society Spring Meeting
The Welsh Branch of the British Geriatrics Society held their Spring meeting in the Catrin Finch Centre on Thursday and Friday. Over 50 doctors and specialists from the local hospitals attended the two day conference. The BGS is the professional body of specialist doctors, nurses, therapists and other professionals concerned with the health care of older people in the United Kingdom.
The conference team supported the conference by administrating delegate payments and enquiries in advance and by dealing with all registrations on the day. We arranged for 70th anniversary posters to be printed and displayed and for a celebratory cake to be presented - which went down a treat during their morning coffee break! We partnered with the Ramada Hotel who provided overnight accommodation and an anniversary meal.
The organiser Dr Vedamrthy Adhiyaman from Glan Clwyd Hospital was very impressed with the support from the staff and the venue.
