University becomes North Wales Tourism Member

Wrexham Glyndŵr University's Conference and Events department has recently become a Business and Trade Supplier Member of North Wales Tourism.

North Wales Tourism is the leading regional tourism organisation committed to delivering activities that support the growth and development of a sustainable tourism industry in North Wales – with over 1,000 businesses and organisations currently in its membership.

Conference and Events Duty Manager Haydn Hughes said: "We're delighted to announce our membership of the region's main tourism body. As a member we will have opportunities to reach new visitor markets by being part of their regional and national marketing activities, as well as networking opportunities with other tourism businesses and access to business support and advice."

The news comes following the announcement of another key project for North Wales Tourism, the North Wales Tourism Hospitality Academy. Due to launch at Wrexham Glyndŵr University later in the year, the academy will provide solid links between universities and colleges and the industry, to ensure future tourism employees in the area are equipped with the skills they will need to meet the expectations of future visitors.
