Destination Wrexham, Wrexham's tourism partnership, are to hold their January AGM in the Catrin Finch Centre, it has been announced.

The initiative, a partnership between Visit Wales, Tourism Partnership North Wales, Wrexham County Borough Council and local businesses, aims to increase and promote the tourism offering in the town.

Destination Wrexham Manager Joe Bickerton said: "We're at a stage now where we're entering the final year of our current Destination Management Plan (DMP) for Wrexham County Borough. Since this current plan was adopted, a lot has changed and we need to think how we move forward. Our Partnership Board has also been in place since 2012 and we're now due for a review of this membership too.

"Therefore, we're inviting all businesses involved in creating brilliant visitor experiences to a general meeting on Monday 25th January 2016 from 11am - 3pm at the Catrin Finch Centre."

The programme for the event will include:

  • A review of progress from 2012-15
  • A look at the opportunities for continued tourism growth
  • The opportunity to give your thoughts about tourism in the County Borough
  • A chance to vote for who will represent your sector on the Destination Partnership Board

Anyone interested in attending should register their attendance by emailing joe.bickerton@wrexham.gov.uk.
